Yeseul Lee (Esther)

Math Teacher

Esther has a passion for teaching students. She makes math become easy and helps students go after their dreams. With 10+ years of experience in teaching math, she creates a customized curriculum for each student and teaches in the most effective way.

She taught SAT Math at Baruch College STEP Program and other afterschool facilities. She is currently teaching students at a private school, as well as afterschool classes.

Esther’s Achievements:
  • Received the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science by age 22.
  • AMC10 Math Competition School Winner
  • Korean-American Science and Engineering Association Scholarship Winner
  • Stony Brook Presidential Scholarship Winner
  • She was an apprentice to Steven Skiena, the CS distinguished teaching professor at Stony Brook University. She created textbook figures which were used in his latest book The Data Science Design Manual.
  • She developed the official Stony Brook campus bus app SBU Transit, which was downloaded and used by thousands of students and staff.
  • She was accepted into Bard High School Early College with the highest score in math from the entrance exam.
  • In high school, she was advanced to take college courses and received A’s in Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3 and Linear Algebra classes.
